Our Favorite Yoga Studios in Texas

Our Favorite Yoga Studios in Texas

If there’s one thing that we love here at Joriki, it’s an amazing yoga class! Something about doing yoga with a group of other motivated individuals is inspiring, relaxing, and encouraging. We’ve written before about our favorite yoga studios here in Chicago, but today we wanted to share some of our favorites in the state of Texas in honor of our new Texas Flag Legging that we created and love. Although we haven’t been to all of these spots, they are all on our wish list of places we want to go! We hope you enjoy reading up on these great yoga studios in Texas.

1. Pure Yoga Texas- Cedar Park/Downtown Austin/North Austin/South Austin/Dallas

We love that Pure Yoga Texas has five locations throughout the state, so there’s always one to go to! The fact that these studios are locally owned also reminds us of ourselves. These studios offer everything from basic Yin Yoga classes to intense Advanced Hot Yoga, so there is truly something for everyone. There’s also unique class events that occur every month, such as yoga classes offered in Spanish. This studio’s overarching mission to empower and inspire everyone that comes to their studios correlates to Joriki’s mission as well, #lookforwardgiveback. Joriki always tries to inspire through our self-improvement events, mantra to always give back with every purchase, and goal to always connect motivated and empowering individuals.

You can check out the Pure Yoga Texas Instagram here.

2. Practice Yoga Austin- Austin

Practice Yoga Austin provides their community with the best yoga teachers possible through their amazing mission to give back to their instructors. The studio does this through having a recommended drop-in donation amount and then provides its teachers with donations from each class they teach. Great yoga teachers can truly transform a yoga experience, so we love that Practice Yoga Austin is so focused on employing dedicated and passionate individuals. A studio so focused on giving back to their instructors and community truly embodies our #lookforwardgiveback mantra! With every piece that Joriki sells, 10% goes back to an associated charity.

Give them a little IG love and check out their page here.

3. Dallas Yoga Center, Dallas

This studio has been open for thirty years and has a powerful mission to inspire their community to lead meaningful and healthy lives. Apart from having over 70 diverse yoga classes per week, Dallas Yoga Center also offers regular yoga and wellness lectures, trainings and events in an effort to strengthen and support the community. One event that we wish we could attend is their mindfulness certification training, which teaches attendees helpful tools for remaining stress-free. Dallas Yoga Center seems incredible, and we definitely want to visit it in the future!

Check out their insta feed here.

4. BEYOGA- Houston Heights

BEYOGA is located in Houston Heights and offers three specific class formats. Their BE STRONG class is HIIT inspired and incorporates Pilates and cardio into each session. BE FLOW is an alignment-based class open to all levels of yoga practitioners. BE ZEN is a peacful, yin style class. This cozy yoga studio also has small, intimate class sizes to give attendees ample space and attention. This unique and simple approach to yoga is something that really interests us!

5.The Sanctuary Yoga Room- Fort Worth

The Sanctuary Yoga Room has two locations in the Fort Worth area, both in Clearkfork and Hulen. One thing that interests us about this Texas yoga studio specifically is that they offer private yoga sessions. Sessions like these are excellent for beginners to yoga, or individuals with injuries that may need to practice yoga with specific modifications. This studio also has both 200 and 300 hour teacher training sessions for individuals that want to deepen their yoga practice. The Sanctuary Yoga Room obviously has a dedicated mission, and we can’t wait to come here and check them off our bucket list!

Make sure to take a look at The Sanctuary Yoga Room’s Instagram account here.

6. Black Swan Yoga- Austin/Houston/Dallas/San Antonio

This yoga studio, like Pure Yoga, has a handful of locations across the state of Texas, so there’s a location for everyone! We are so excited that this studio also has plans to expand into Denver soon. Not in Texas or Denver? Black Swan Yoga also offers unlimited online classes for only $8 a month! Considering that we are located in Chicago, these online classes are something we want to look into in the future. We also love Black Swan Yoga’s podcast, which is available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Check it out for some inspiring and motivating content!

7. Wanderlust Yoga Austin, Austin

Although Wanderlust has a traditional yoga studio in Austin, they also offer multiple yoga retreats and events both in Texas and across the globe. One event that sounds SO fun to us is their annual Summer Sunset Series (pictured). This free event occurs every Tuesday at Republic Square in Austin and is an outdoor yoga class with live musicians and DJs. This summer, Wanderlust is also offering a ten day retreat to Kenya, which we so wish we could attend. Overall, Wanderlust Yoga offers an excellent way to practice yoga, socialize, and build community.

For more information about Wanderlust, check out their Instagram account here.

8. Sukha Yoga, Austin

Our final yoga studio in Texas that we wanted to share is Sukha Yoga, located in Austin! This studio has two locations and various unique yoga classes offered at all times a day. Similar to Wanderlust, Sukha Yoga also organizes retreats, such as one happening this summer in Mexico that looks absolutely beautiful. After a yoga class, check out their lounge! It offers trendy yoga apparel, books, and fresh juices. We hope that one day we are able to visit Austin so we can go to this cute studio! Maybe our Texas Flag Legging could even find a new home in their lounge!
